Licensed Cottage Foods Home Bakery Since 2015
On a Volgadeutsch family farm in southwestern North Dakota, my Grandmother accomplished miracles with minimal resources. My Mom (Esther) and her sisters were amazing bakers and homemakers also. As the oldest girl grandchild, I baked cookies. The Army sent me to Korea, where I checked out Julia Child's Cookbook and baked my first bread loaf for my husband in the shared kitchen of the nurses' hootch.
Thanks to Julia and other authors, my love of cooking and especially baking grew. I inflicted birthday cakes and sweet rolls on my co-workers until I retired from nursing. Colorado passed a Cottage Foods Law which made home baking legal for sale. I had a sales booth for the 5 years of the Four Seasons Farmers and Artisans Market, which closed in October 2020. I enjoy baking breads including sourdough and my popular Kindred's Milk Bread, as well as gooey pecan sticky buns, fruit hand pies, biscotti and an extensive assortment of cookies, requests are welcome!
In addition to participating with 5 Fridges Farm, I have a table in the All Seasons Gift Shop at 38th Avenue and Tabor Street in Wheat Ridge.
