As a reminder, because these heritage breed turkeys are cage-free they will have bigger bones and less white meat than conventional grocery store turkeys, but they are the juiciest and most delicious turkeys we've ever eaten (which is why we raise them).
Turkeys will range in size from 10 to 20+ pounds. We will do our best to accommodate your size request, but can't guarantee an exact size.

Cooking tips for your 5 Fridges Farm turkey
Letting your turkey sit in a salty/vinegary bath for 24 hrs before roasting will help ensure you have a moist and flavorful turkey.
To brine your turkey, place it in a large vessel (like a stockpot) and cover completely with brine. Let sit in the fridge overnight.
The brine can be a simple solution of water, vinegar (flavored or plain), salt, and spices/herbs. Citrus is a great addition. Do not use olive oil in the brine.
Remove turkey from brine and let sit on a dry towel in the fridge for a few hours before roasting to give the brine a chance to drain.
Before you start cooking your turkey, make sure you have a meat thermometer on hand. These turkeys are heritage breeds and have bigger bones than the turkeys you buy in the store. That means they cook A LOT faster!
After you have enjoyed your turkey dinner, the carcass can be used to make bone broth. It is easy to make and is remarkably nutritious. Don't forget to send us a picture of your beautiful 5 Fridges Farm turkey!
